The hotel was a superb base for enjoying a great area, just off the jungle, and Puerto Maldonado. The staffs were nice & helpful. Got the same triple room booked online with great bathrooms and a hot shower, for instance. The cost was usd 26.
Couldn't find any faults at all.

Our visit to the Children's Playground at La Fauna Hotel was a delight for our little ones! They enjoyed the colorful swings, slides, and fun-filled play area. It provided endless entertainment and kept them happily occupied throughout our stay. The hotel's dedication to creating a fun and safe space for children was truly impressive!
My kids wished there was a larger variety of games at the Children's Playground.

Our stay at La Fauna was truly memorable. The beautiful, artsy decor made us feel right at home. We enjoyed lounging in the hammocks and browsing through the collection of books. The large room we had was a pleasant surprise, and the hot shower was a much-needed luxury. The owner, Cecilia, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety, even taking me to the emergency room when I was bitten by a street dog. The kind and friendly staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
While we had a great experience overall, there were a few minor drawbacks. The construction site surrounding the entrance could have been cleaner and more organized.

As young families, we loved the spacious private rooms with clean sheets and no bugs. The staff were super nice and helpful, and the owner went above and beyond when a street dog bit me, taking me to the emergency room and waiting for me. The hostel is beautifully decorated with an artsy vibe, and we enjoyed the swimming pool and comfy common areas. The location near the Plaza de Armas was great.
We felt really welcomed and had no complaints whatsoever.

My stay at El Fauno Hostel was an absolute blast! The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, thanks to the bar that kept flowing with refreshing drinks. I felt like I was partying with a wild bunch of animals, just like in Madidi National Park and Tambopata National Reserve.
Construction entrance.

During my recent transit in Puerto Maldonado, I stayed at La Fauna for convenience. The database provided accurate information about the hostel. I found it helpful that it mentioned that the nearest airport, El Fauno Hostel, was only 13 km away. This proximity made it easy for me to catch my flight without any hassle. the database clarified that this hostel was suitable for short stays, which was exactly what I needed.
One minor issue I encountered was the confusion regarding the room type. Due to my limited Spanish skills, there was a misunderstanding, and I was initially assigned a dorm instead of a private room.
